North Shore Dining

If you’re lucky enough to have reservations to the North Shore’s coveted gem, Mama’s Fish House, you’ll love the fresh seafood and the iconic Island-style dining experience. The fish is so fresh that the menu changes daily and it’ll even tell you the name of the fisherman who reeled in your fresh catch. Situated on the ocean, in a grove of coconut trees, you’ll feel transported to Old Hawaii with servers adorned in their best muumuus and aloha print shirts.

The Hawaiian Kanpachi with Lobster and Crab in a Macadamia nut crust is heavenly. For an Instagram-worthy dessert experience, ask for the Polynesian Black Pearl. Make sure to secure reservations well in advance, as they tend to book out for months!

Looking for something more laid back? Head over to Paia town and grab a Mopsy’s Kalua Pork Pie and a locally-sourced organic Ohana Salad Bowl at Flatbread Company or people-watch with a Coco-Rita and some Tex-Mex Plates at Milagros. Cafe des Amis makes outstanding curries and the most divine sweet crepes.

Should you find yourself in Haiku, head over to the old Pineapple Cannery and check out Nuka for fresh and delicious sushi or a local grass fed-beef burger at Toohey’s Butchery & Bistro.

Upcountry Dining

A fun way to start the day Upcountry is to get a coffee and breakfast sandwich from Grandma's Coffee House in Kula and then go for a picturesque stroll down Thompson Road.

Head out to Maui Wine for some delicious wine made from local grapes as well as unique and refreshing pineapple wine.  Make sure to stop by the Ulupalakua Ranch Store for a cravable locally raised meat - they offer burgers and plate lunches with beef, vension, lamb, elk or taro - the kalbi ribs melt in your mouth!

One of the most acclaimed Upcountry fine-dining restaurants is Hali’imaile General Store--try the Mango Margarita and some fresh sashimi or the Crab Pizza to start—their Coconut Seafood Curry is divine, as well.

Check out the Garden Terrace at Kula Lodge offering tasty wood-fired pizzas, stunning gardens and panoramic aerial views of the Valley Isle. The Kula Marketplace offers an abundance of locally crafted and sourced gifts from jams and jellies to jewelry to native wood cutting boards and more, this is a wonderful shop to find beautiful gifts.

La Provence in Kula is a sweet French bakery and small restaurant with beautiful views. Their breakfast crepes and quiches are delicious. If you have a sweet tooth, another epic Upcountry bakery is T Komoda Store & Bakery in Makawao Town — don’t miss the stick donuts and butter rolls.

Central Maui Dining

If you find yourself in “town” first thing in the morning, make your way over to Momona Bakery and Coffee Shop, right next to the Kahului Harbor. Their pastries are as beautiful as they are delicious. They sell like hotcakes, so get there early for the best selection!

The Maui Tropical Plantation is a fun place to explore - they have a farm tour, shopping, a coffee shop, a zipline and a great restaurant called Cafe O’Lei at The Mill House. Most of the ingredients are grown at the Plantation, so everything is fresh and tasty. Situated at the base of the West Maui Mountains, the mountain views are spectacular.

Tiffany's is a laid back Maui Classic that has been in business for close to two decades.  Famed owner, Chef Sheldon Simeon also owns and operate Tin Roof in Kahului. They serve innovative, local lunch-style dishes in take-out bowls.  Ideally located close to the Kahului airport for a bit of Maui "to-go"!

If you want something quick, be sure to check out the vast selection of food trucks throughout Kahului. Thai Mee Up parks one of their trucks in a Food Truck lot across from Costco Gas and makes a delicious Pad Thai, Lemongrass Fried Chicken and Crispy Garlic Shrimp. Like Poke is in the same lot and offers super fresh and delicious Poke Bowls (fresh, raw fish - like tuna - cut in cubes and marinated with soy based sauces and served over white rice).

Close by the airport, Marco’s Grill & Deli offers an extensive menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Another lovely option for lunch and dinner in town is Bistro Cassanova -they have a great happy hour with carafes of margaritas and mojitos from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Make sure to stop by try Tasaka Guri Guri, a fun and refreshing sweet treat. Made with guava juice, lime soda and condensed milk, Guri Guri tastes like a cross between sherbet and ice cream.

West Maui Dining

Just as you make your way off the Pali, the oceanfront, cliff-side, two-lane highway that leads in and out of the West Side - under an umbrella-like canopy of Monkeypod trees, you will reach Leoda's Pie Shop in Oluwalu.  Order a spread of lunch and dessert online and while you wait, shop the Farmer's Market to stock up on fresh, local fruits like lilikoi (passion fruit), starfruit, apple bananas and more.

While Lahaina-town is currently closed, as it is restored, our island-community is supportive of keeping tourism and accommodations open to keep our local economy alive and well.

Post golfing Ka'anapali, enjoy the 19th hole at Roy's, which just so happens to overlook the 18th hole!

Before you shop til you drop at Whaler's Village, have a bite to eat at Monkeypod Kitchen is one of our favorite options for flatbread pizzas, local cuisine like saimin and ahi poke.  Wash it all down with their famous Mai Tai with lilikoi (passionfruit) foam.

Out in Kapalua, a high-end dinner will be relished at the Banyan Tree, while a milkshake with a view can be enjoyed sandy-footed at the Burger Shack, both at the recently renovated Ritz-Carlton Resort.

We love the Hula Girl for a snorkel and lunch or a sunset whale watch - they have an on-board chef and full bar - it’s smaller than the commercial tours you see and a much nicer experience.

South Maui Dining

Indulge in a Kalua Pork Loco Moco (hamburger patty with an over easy egg topped with gravy and served over rice) or Banana Mac Nut Pancakes at the Kihei Caffe. Enjoy the laid back vibe of Kihei while you wait in line (they’re almost always a line!).

Nalu’s North Shore Grill serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. From the Chicken & Waffle to the Ahi Club Sandwich, there are delicious options here all day long.

Grab and go options are par for the course in Kihei. Picnicking at one of the many beach parks is an easy way to lunch. 808 Deli makes fresh and delicious sandwiches and salads. Fish Tacos with Mango Salsa from Coconuts Fish Cafe are out of this world. Island Gourmet is a store, gift shop and deli fronting the shops at Wailea—they have an abundance of options from plate lunches to sushi to smoothies and more. Don’t forget to grab a Spam Musubi - a delicious Hawaiian snack made with a slice of grilled Spam on a block of rice and wrapped with nori.

Maui Brewing Company is a neat lunch spot with local brews and yard games for the whole family. All the drinks are made on-site at the Brewery Headquarters and there is something for everyone. Bikini Blonde, Pineapple Mana and the Coconut Hiwa are our favorite beers. Their POG Hard Seltzer is crisp and refreshing. If you’re skipping the alcohol, try their Ginger Beer or Root Beer!

Dining in Wailea is extraordinary. Start the evening off at the Botero Lounge at the Grand Wailea for a “pupu” (appetizer) and some live music. We recommend making reservations around sunset for dinner. Humu Humu is a delightful Polynesian inspired restaurant in a oceanfront lagoon, also at the Grand Wailea. Ferraro’s at the Four Seasons also offers a lovely oceanfront dining experience.

The Hana Ranch Restaurant at the Hana-Maui Resort is one of the few available fine dining options in Hana.

For quick bites, try Hana Farms Roadside Stand - delicious pizza and banana bread here!
