Paia town is full of colorful shops and restaurants with a focus on local art, food and wellness. Formerly a bustling Sugar Plantation town, Paia is a lively, eccentric and artsy community.
Enjoy a scenic stroll from Baldwin Beach down the white sand beach to the protected lagoon for a dip at Baby Beach. If you’d prefer to have a beach day, go surfing or watch the surfers in action, cruise over to Ho’okipa. You get a remarkable aerial view of the windsurfers from the upper parking lot. As you explore deeper into Haiku, things will start to look more like a rainforest. A hike through Ho’olawa Valley to check out Twin Falls is fun for the whole family. Upcountry Attractions

With an ideal growing climate and elevation, not to mention the rich volcanic soil, Upcountry Maui is teeming with all sorts of neat farms and distilleries where you can experience the region’s agriculture and unique farm-to-table culture.

The Saturday morning Upcountry Farmers Market in Pukalani runs from 7:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. and is the freshest and best place to get produce and local goodies. If you miss it, head out to Kula Country Farms offers seasonal fun from strawberry picking to a pumpkin patch.

Take a scenic drive out to Ulupalakua Ranch Store & Grill for a Maui Cattle Company burger. Saunter across the street to Maui Wine for a glass of an estate grown traditional grape wine or try their unique and refreshing pineapple wines. Maui Bees is a fun place in Kula to visit and learn about artisanal honey production. They have great healthy and fresh grab-and-go lunch options at their market. For a real treat, book a reservation for a six course Farm to Table Dinner. If they’re booked up, another great Farm to Table option is right up the road at O’o Farm.

If you’re looking for something more active, check out the Pukalani Country Club for a round of golf with panoramic views of Maui at 1100 feet elevation.

Grab an organic, locally sourced coffee from Grandma’s Coffee House and take a walk down Thompson Road - we promise, it’s one of the most beautiful roads, surrounded by Thompson Ranch with views of Haleakala on one side of you, and on the other, you have an unobstructed panoramic view from the North Shore to the West Maui Mountains over to Molokini Crater and Koho’olawe on the other side. Oprah has a vacation home on Thompson Road - it’s truly a special place, we totally see the appeal!

For a more zen-like experience, stroll through the fields at Ali’i Kula Lavender Farm or head over to Lumeria Maui for some guided meditation, a yoga retreat and more.

West Maui Attractions

Lahaina-town is currently "closed," as the rebuilding process is navigated.  We remain hopeful and positive for the future and restoration of this special place.  Providing the ultimate sign of hope, the iconic Banyan Tree at Lahaina's town center continues to show signs of life, growth and prosperity.  West Maui accommodations in Kaanapali, Napili and Kapalua have begun to reopen and visitation is encouraged to help support the people of West Maui. #mauistrong

We love strolling along the Ka'anapali beach walk trail, a paved walking path from one end of Ka'anapali Beach to the other.  Watch the brave ones (or join in on the fun!) as they leap off the lava-rock formations of Black Rock Beach into the beautiful blue Pacific Ocean.

The world-class golfing in Ka'anapali is both breathtaking beautiful, while a challenge, nonetheless. If you'd prefer, you can shop 'til you drop at Whaler's Village. Enjoy both high-end and local stores, shave ice and boba shops, an escape room and more at this outdoor, beach-side shopping center.

Kapalua, the northernmost town in West Maui, is renowned for its lush greenery, world-class golf courses, and upscale resorts like the Ritz-Carlton and the Montage.  It is home to two of the most majestic and renown golf-courses in the world - the Plantation Course and the Bay Course.

South Maui Attractions

The best way to start the day in South Maui is to have a leisurely walk or refreshing run along the Wailea Beach Path.  Start in front of the Andaz at Ulua Beach and walk all the way down to the Fairmont along a paved waterfront path fronting hotels like the Grand Wailea and the Four Seasons.

The Shops at Wailea offers a high-end, open-air shopping experience.

Golfers rejoice at the selection and pristine morning conditions.  Wailea provides world-class golf at the Gold, Emerald and Blue courses.  If you're looking for something even more over- the-top, head into Makena - though you may just be doing a drive-by at a distance within this exclusive and private members-only golf and tennis community.

Rent snorkeling gear from Boss Frog’s and explore under the sea. From Charley Young Beach to La Perouse to Molokini Crater, there are a plethora of options to snorkel or SCUBA.

Learn to surf with the kind folks at HI Tech.  The Cove at Kalama Beach Park in Kihei is a beginner surf spot like no other in Maui.

After your surf-sesh, check out South Maui Gardens, a sprawling 5-acre hidden-gem that boasts food trucks, shopping, entertainment, a working-plant nursery and more!

Central Maui Attractions

Beyond the commercial and residential areas of Kahului, there is good fun to be had. Kanaha Beach Park is tucked between Kahului Bay and Sprecklesville Beach. This 40 acre beach park can get very windy, so it’s a great option for those hoping to do some Wind Surfing or Kite Surfing.

Grab a cup of locally sourced “Hula Pie” coffee from Maui Coffee Roasters and check out the Maui Swap Meet on Saturday mornings where you can find great local crafts and gifts - it’s set up at Maui Community College and entry is just seventy-five cents!

East Maui Attractions

Half the fun to go to Hana is getting there! Whether you drive yourself or join a tour, your time in Hana will be spent swimming, hiking and exploring waterfalls. Take a four mile hike to Waimoku Falls above Seven Sacred Pools - one of the best hikes through a bamboo forest to see one of the tallest waterfalls on Maui with a 400 foot drop.

We love Hamoa Beach and the Black Sand Beach at Wainapanapa State Park.
