West Maui is divided into several towns, including Lahaina, Kaanapali, Napili, and Kapalua.
We are saddened by the fires of August 8, 2023. Our hearts are with the local residents as they work to rebuild their homes and their lives.
Lahaina was the original Capital of the Hawaiian Kingdom from 1820 - 1845 until Honolulu on Oahu replaced it in that role. The historic-waterfront town was former whaling village turned bustling tourist destination boasted many attractions such as museums, art galleries, restaurants, and shops.
Lahaina-town is currently "closed," as the rebuilding process is navigated.
West Maui accommodations in Kaanapali, Napili and Kapalua have begun to reopen and visitation is encouraged to help support the people of West Maui.
Ka’anapali, located to the north of Lahaina, is known for its luxurious resorts, golf courses, and bustling downtown with an array of restaurants and entertainment options.
Napili, a quaint town nestled between Lahaina and Kapalua, offers a chance to experience the laid-back Hawaiian lifestyle with cozy accommodations, world-class restaurants, and pristine beaches.
Kapalua, the northernmost town in West Maui, is renowned for its lush greenery, world-class golf courses, and upscale resorts.
